Minggu lalu ada error yang cukup unik terjadi di dua VPS (Virtual Private Server) yang saya punya, errornya kurang lebih seperti ini: Disk Drive C unreadable, Damaged hard drive clusters detected, Windows OS can’t detect hard drive space, dan Hard drive error.

Saya sangat panik karena semua file dan program yang saya install kedalam VPS tersebut lenyap! Lalu di tampilan desktop hanya muncul windows ‘Data Recovery’ seperti gambar dibawah ini:

Begitu saya klik “Fix Error‘ maka akan keluar windows baru dimana saya harus membayar sekitar $100 untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Jujur saja saya hampir berpikir untuk membayarnya karena tampilan windows tersebut mirip sekali dengan tampilan dari Microsoft.

Support team dari VPS pun bilang error tersebut diluar tanggung jawab mereka. Nah lo, satu-satunya cara ya Googling sendiri. Masalahnya, solusi yang saya temukan kebanyakan menganjurkan untuk mengformat ulang VPS nya (itu mah bukan solusi ).

Untungnya saya bisa menemukan sumber yang kompeten untuk mengatasi error ini. Percaya atau tidak, ini bukan error dari OS, melainkan kerjaan Virus yang masuk ke komputer. Masi kakak adik sama trojan dkk. Ini buktinya:

Berikut cara untuk mengatasi masalah unreadable error:

Download RogueKiller to your desktop

• Quit all running programs
• For Vista/Seven, right click -> run as administrator, for XP simply run RogueKiller.exe
• When prompted, type 2 and validate
• The RKreport.txt shall be generated next to the executable.
• If the program is blocked, do not hesitate to try several times. If it really does not work (it could happen), rename it to winlogon.exe

RUN ROGUEKILLER AGAIN

• Quit all running programs
• For Vista/Seven, right click -> run as administrator, for XP simply run RogueKiller.exe
• When prompted, type 6 and validate
• The RKreport.txt shall be generated next to the executable.
• If the program is blocked, do not hesitate to try several times. If it really does not work (it could happen), rename it to winlogon.exe

Please post the contents of the RKreport.txt in your next Reply.

THEN

Download OTL to your Desktop

• Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
• Select All Users
• Under the Custom Scan box paste this in
  netsvcs
  %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.exe
  /md5start
  explorer.exe
  winlogon.exe
  Userinit.exe
  svchost.exe
  /md5stop
  C:\Windows\assembly\tmp\U\*.* /s
  CREATERESTOREPOINT
• Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Post both logs

Puji Tuhan, setelah mengikuti tutorial singkat diatas, virusnya hilang. Untuk memastikan kalo komputer kita sudah aman, Anda bisa menggunakan tools:

1. TDSSKiller or Backdoor.Tidserv Removal Tool. This malware usually (but not always) comes bundled with TDSS rootkit. Removing this rootkit from your computer is very important (if exists). Run TDSSKiller or Backdoor.Tidserv Removal Tool to remove the rootkit.

2. Download and run recommended anti-malware software (Spyware Doctor) to remove this virus from your computer.

ps. Untuk Spyware Doctor, Anda harus menggunakan ‘Full Version’ untuk bisa membersihkan virus trojannya (jika virusnya ternyata masih ada). Haha,, emang agak gak etis bagi-bagi serial numbernya disini, tapi gak apa-apalah ya:
